Dr. Ramón Valderrama, NYC Neurologist
Dr. Valderrama, Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, has spent the last twenty five years researching, treating and diagnosing a wide range of neurological conditions. He is known for his thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses and his keen ability to listen to and draw relevant information from his patients. He has expertise in the diagnosis of neuromuscular conditions and Electromyography (EMG), an essential tool used to diagnose neurological disease.
Dr. Valderrama’s academic background includes five years as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He received neurological training as a resident physician at the Neurological Institute of New York of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and graduated medical school from the School of Medicine of the University of Concepción in Chile.
Dr. Valderrama is an active member, educator and volunteer in numerous international professional societies including: The American Academy of Neurology; The Royal Society of Medicine (UK); The European Neurological Society and New York Academy of Sciences.
